The Nepal Trip!

After much training and preparation, the time was finally here! 25 explorers eagerly awaited at Heathrow for the experience of a lifetime. It would take way too much space to sum up the whole trip here, so watch this space and the website will be updated with all the details and pictures of the trip in the near future.

Apologies to those who emailed the webmasters during the trip and asked for details; we did not have a chance to check our emails or update the site when we were away. If you still have any queries, don't hesitate to email again.

Walk to Tilford
14th February 2007
Well it rained in the morning, but thankfully it stopped before we started walking. 8 explorers turned up for an enjoyable, yet muddy, walk. We started at Puttenham car park, across Cooksbury hill, through Waverly Abbey and on to Tilford where we stopped for lunch, and came back along a different route through Charleshill and Gatwick Village to finish again at Puttenham car park. Make sure to all tease Robert H and Will H for chickening out because they "didn't like the look of the weather"!

Walk to Compton
4th February 2007
Another Sunday ramble starting at Debenhams in Guildford, taking us up past Henley Fort, along to Compton, and back via Artington, finishing with a walk back along the banks of the River Wey. Approx. 10km.

James R's Sponsored Walk
3rd/4th January 2007
On New Year, James R managed to hike from Guildford all the way to Shoreham along the Downs Link. In doing so, he raised a whopping £700 in sponsorship. Good job!

Site Update
27th December 2006
Gave the site a complete and much needed update. Completely changed the graphics and layout and added some new pages. Also uploaded more pictures, and all the newsletters.

Trimming and Colouring
20th December 2006
To raise sponsorship and awareness of our project, Maverick's Hairdressers in Guildford very kindly agreed to cut and colour our hair. It managed to get the attention of the local newspaper, and there was a great picture of Chris Grubb in the Guildford Times!

Walking to Dorking

Four days before Christmas, and 15 explorers went on a walk from Shalford to Dorking in order to improve our fitness and enjoy the countryside.

Sponsored Parachute Jump
October 2006
Big congratulations to Mark who managed to raise £900 in sponsorship for jumping out of an aeroplane, although I'm not sure he told everyone he would be using a parachute when they agreed to sponsor him!
